PRESS REVIEWS
“Conceptual refinement and choreography are joined in this performance where simplicity reveals the impeccability of the interpreter's work".
EL UNIVERSO Newspaper (Ecuador)

"Milena Rodríguez danced ‘El Ombligo’, a choreography of 'Cacho' Gallegos and Frédérique Roze: a game of weight and weightlessness, where instrumental music and silences framed a woman, hanging and detaching from a balloon, hanging and shedding roles imposed by her motherhood".
EL COMERCIO Newspaper (Ecuador)
SYNOPSIS
Mariana counts days, hours and seconds. She calculates and all the calculations are correct; Yes, she is no longer alone; There is a tiny heartbeat beneath her chest. Mariana wonders, laments, rejoices and staggers in her solitude. She resigns herself. She fills with courage (at the same time, fear invades her). She imagines the future so deep inside her, yet, so far beyond her calculations. Mariana feels, changes, accommodates herself and opens space in her life for the new life. Mariana runs nowhere, parting, twisting, screaming in silence inwardly closed. Mariana is torn and there she is, with the smile of relief, the sweat of weariness and the word “mama” fluttering frail on her lips.
